EXTRA INFOS: Installing Cent OS on a VM

 

Download CentOS image (iso file) from any mirror online.

Open Oracle Virtual Box, click Machine and add New..

Put in the name of the VM and the OS you want to install.. 

Memory Size will be 1GB

Create a Virtual HDD, then click Create.

(this will create a new VM with the name you typed)

Go into that VM and click on settings --> storage

in the controller IDE, click add new image and navigate to the CentOS iso file that you downloaded.

Start the VM and go through the installation of CentOS in the VM.

Change date/timezone

Change server on GUI (IMPORTANT!!)

Select Disk Space and click configure..

and the rest can be followed as per your understanding..
